Welcome, I'm Lucie.
I am the founder and creator of Cartes aux pommes, a cartographic design studio based in Rennes.
I draw maps of French cities and the Brittany coastline, which I then print at Sel de Pixel, a great digital photo lab also located in Rennes. Convenient!
Why Apple Cards?
A trained cartographer and colorist by passion, I know maps inside out!
For several years, I created them daily as a journalist-cartographer. Here, there was little room for creativity. The subjects and the graphic charter were imposed.
After leaving the world of journalism, I traveled for a year (I know, so cliché!). Every day, I noted in a notebook where I was and what I had seen. Upon my return, I transformed this data into maps that I integrated into a souvenir album. I finally had the freedom to choose the subject, the colors, the typography... A revelation!
Today, as an independent cartographer, I create modern and colorful posters, designed and printed in Rennes, to personalize one's interior and display one's affection for unique places.

Remember the good times.
Each map is an invitation to remember good times: holidays, trips, visits to friends or family… They also tell of the attachment one can have for a territory. Because it is beautiful, familiar, or because you have chosen to live there.
That's why I started drawing maps of the cities where my friends live and where I have so often spent weekends visiting them. Then I continued with posters of the coasts and cities of this magnificent region of Brittany where I decided to settle.
The objective? To offer lovers of their territories posters to tell their story and celebrate their favorite places.
