Having trouble? No problem!

When will I receive my order?

I operate with a zero-stock approach, so each card is printed after you place your order. This strategy offers several benefits: it avoids unnecessary printing and the costs associated with renting storage space.

Furthermore, to establish an efficient working method with my printer, Sel de Pixel, and to optimize my travel (by bike or on foot, depending on my mood), the printing and shipping of your orders follow the schedule below:

  • Monday: at noon, I send the previous days' orders to Sel de Pixel for printing;
  • Thursday: in the early afternoon, I collect the prints sent on Monday, pack them, and post them; at noon, I send the week's second batch of orders to Sel de Pixel;
  • Following Monday: I collect the prints sent on Thursday, pack them, and post them, and I send the week's first batch of orders to Sel de Pixel, and so on...

In short! Everything is calculated so that no more than 5 business days pass between the time you place your order and the time I post it.

What if my order arrives damaged?

If the package appears damaged, you can refuse it upon delivery.

If the poster itself appears damaged, please send me an email at cartesauxpommes.contact@gmail.com. If the map is damaged due to my fault, I will send you a new one.

Is payment secure?

The Cartes aux pommes website uses the Payplug payment method, specially designed for e-merchants.

This establishment is approved by the French Prudential Supervision and Resolution Authority (ACPR) and uses a solution that certifies the highest security standard for processing and storing online payment data.

Why are only city maps available in different formats?

Because the two collections each deal with a different subject.

Regarding maps of the Brittany coastline, the goal is to represent your favorite coastal area in the most detailed way possible. Thus, the size of the mapped area will determine the format of the map.

Of course, I had to set a maximum format (50 x 70 cm), which remains easy to display in your home and will allow you to easily find the right frame for you, regardless of the material and price you desire.

For city maps, the challenge is to show what your city is made of. Here, it is rather the legend that will play an important role in reading the information.

I can therefore offer different formats by adapting the level of detail of the landmarks (street names, public places, etc.) to the format.

What are the differences between city map formats?

Each city map is available in different formats to meet everyone's interior design constraints.

The larger the map format, the more detailed the map:

  • The Gourmand format (50 x 70 cm) provides a detailed legend of land use distribution. The names of the largest areas, main streets, and secondary streets appear on the map;
  • The Goûter format (30 x 40 cm) offers the same legend as the Gourmand format, but with a lower level of detail regarding place and street names;
  • Finally, the Encas format, which corresponds to an A4 size, is a simplified version of the two larger ones. The legend is less detailed, and only the names of the largest areas appear on the map.

Paper and print quality.

As I offer brightly colored and diverse maps, printing is not an area I can compromise on.

To offer you the most beautiful print and the best long-term preservation for your poster, I turned to Sel de Pixel, a digital photo lab located in Rennes (where I live, convenient!).

This lab produces high-end inkjet prints using a printing process recognized as the best in terms of rendering and preservation without degradation.

This process, coupled with the best current paper media, guarantees exceptional print quality. Following my printer's good advice, I chose a 230 gsm matte and finely textured paper that I find sublime, objectively speaking, of course.

The grammage indicates the paper's thickness and has an impact on the paper's resistance and durability. In art printing, media between 200 and 300 gsm are preferred.

A 230 gsm paper guarantees the durability of the print and represents a good compromise between the quality and flexibility of the paper, allowing posters to be rolled and sent in tubes.
