How are the formats chosen?

The maps of the Breton coast are available in three different sizes: 30 x 40 cm, 40 x 50 cm, and 50 x 70 cm, chosen according to the area represented. These sizes were selected because they are standard sizes and therefore easy to frame. But what really determines the size of the poster is the area of the mapped region. To maximize the chances of you finding the name of your favorite picnic beach or your sunset point on the map, a format that allows for the inclusion of as many place names as possible is needed. Therefore, the formats are primarily determined by this objective.

For the largest areas, which require a large format of 50 x 70 cm, I have also chosen to offer them in a smaller format of 30 x 40 cm. Because I am well aware that we don't always have room on our walls for a format as generous as 50 x 70 cm.
